MATERIALS
Sclera AiStandardSurface material consists in a MixShader with Cornea Material and a Procedural 3D Mask in order to leave to the User the ability to modify Intensity and Scale and move the 3D Texture Controller (‘place3dTexture1’) on the top of the eye mesh.
IN ORDER TO GIVE YOU TOTAL CONTROL OF THE MATERIAL YOU WILL FIND A SHORT TUTORIAL ON HOW TO BAKE THESE PROCEDURAL INFORMATION INTO A SIMPLE TEXTURE MASK.
Iris AiStandardSurface consists only in Textures connected to Material Master, so you can change Iris color by just replacing the BaseColor Texture.
PHOTOREALISTIC EYE IS CREATED INSIDE OF MAYA AND RENDERED WITH ARNOLD MATERIALS BUT IF YOU WANT TO USE IT IN A DIFFERENT SOFTWARE, YOU CAN EASILY DO SO BY:
Bake the Cornea Texture Mask or Use the one already provided inside of the Sclera Texture Folder
Import the Eye in the Software you want and plug all the Textures using the Cornea Mask as a Transparent Mask for the Sclera Mesh.
PUPIL DILATION & CONSTRICTION
Once you have opened your file, you can easily modify the Pupil Dilatation of the Eye with using the Eye Controller you will find in the Scene.
This Controller has a Custom Attribute called “Eye_BlendShape” with values ranging from -1 to 1.
- Pupil Dilation = 1
- Pupil Constriction= -1
Tips:
Use mid values to get the best result.
